Books Review and Educational Features

Throughout our publication we will be featuring some of the most interesting books written by majority black authors across the globe. Some of you may be familiar with some of these authors, but others may be new to you. The purpose of this blog is to open your hearts and minds to a broader diversity on the market today while also encouraging you to write your ideas down or put them out on paper through which we hope the world will get to experience the creative within you.

We all know that black authors produce some of the best books in the world. This is why we have chosen to showcase books written by majority black authors alongside our works. We hope this selection will inspire you and you become supportive of the wonderful literature that is on the market today

Featured Author: Deanne Heron

Born in Jamaica and coming to live in Manchester, England in 1967, Deanne Heron is a counsellor/trainer and foster carer, who has published two volumes of poetry under the title Contemplation and two volumes of short humorous Pardner Money Stories. Within this time she also began presenting at local radio stations & community events. Deanne presents African/Caribbean news & music programmes on local radio as well as Black History Month programmes and presentations in schools. She has written over 200 poems, which even got her into The Gallery: One Hundred Years of Black British Writing exhibition in 2012.
